The right to a healthy tomorrow is a human right. The power to make an informed decision for a healthy future is the goal of Grassroots.
Grassroots is an idea that was conceptualized in the summer of 2011 by Namita Azad and Karthik Narasimhan with the goal to create education and awareness models to be implemented in underprivileged communities globally.
This blog would serve as a mouthpiece for the efforts and progress of Grassroots. Everyone has a role to play in this effort and with this conviction we welcome you to use this blog as a medium to express your views and share your experiences, thoughts and opinions on health related issues. We would like to welcome ideas from anyone and everyone on relevant themes and we promise that it would find a voice here without bias or prejudice.
‘Talking Healthy’ at Grassroots is off to a beautiful start with this poignant article “Making sense of the voices” by Vishnu. With amazing honesty and sensitivity he shares with us some of his personal experiences in this wonderful article. ‘Talking Healthy” could not have asked for a better start than this. We applaud Vishnu for his grit and determination and thank him for his words which would bring change to many lives!
Without much further ado…
Let’s start Talking Healthy!
